My Favorite Digital Nomad Destinations

I started this post with the intent of writing about my singular favorite digital nomad destination, but quickly realized I couldn’t choose just one!

Even this relatively short list was hard to narrow down, and if I’m being honest, I’ll probably keep adding to it.

As a digital nomad, the world becomes your office, and these favorite destinations and coworking spaces provide the perfect balance of work and adventure. With that being said, here are my favorite coworking spaces and coliving accommodations that I’ve experienced around the world.

My Favorite Coworking Spaces Around the World

Tbilisi, Georgia

Tbilisi knocks it out of the park in every way imaginable and Georgia is now one of my favorite countries.

Georgian food is incredible and Tbilisi has some amazing restaurants. I broke down after being a vegan/vegetarian for seven years so I could eat some of Georgia’s famous meat dishes. Don’t judge me.

Although the country is small, Georgia is home to gorgeous and diverse landscapes, from beaches by the sea to snowcapped mountains to ancient wine country. You could spend months or even years traveling the countryside.

The capital city, Tbilisi, is a mix of quaint, old buildings, modern architectural marvels, and concrete Soviet apartment blocks.

There is a thriving digital nomad scene. Tbilisi attracts travelers looking for a hidden gem with lots to do when you aren’t working as well as all the comforts and conveniences to be productive.

Favorite Cowork Space

Impact Hub Tbilisi

Impact Hub Tbilisi quickly became our go-to coworking destination. The coworking space itself is nice, but what really sold us was where it’s located. Impact Hub is in a trendy, renovated Soviet sewing factory along with other restaurants, bars, and a huge hostel. This industrial-hipster-eclectic mixed-use space is known as Fabrika and it is the place to be every evening for happy hour and later.

The primary tenant of this building is the huge Fabrika hostel. Although geared towards backpackers of any kind, it can also be considered a coliving accommodation. The hostel has area’s you can work in, plus you have Impact Hub coworking just next door.

What’s included: hot desks, meeting rooms, phone booth, key-card access, open 24/7, receptionist, coffee and tea, pet friendly, fast and reliable WIFI.

Marrakech, Morocco

Marrakech is one of a kind. The culture, food, and architecture is something dreams are made of and it is still one of my favorite places. Yes, living in Morocco long-term can also be stressful. But for me, the beauty of my surroundings and that fact that I was totally out of my comfort zone far outweighed the chaos and badgering.

Marrakech is one of the most vibrant cities in Morocco with a mesmerizing blend of old-world charm and bustling energy. The lively medina, with its narrow alleyways and bustling souks, is a treasure trove of colors, scents, and sounds.

From exploring historical landmarks to indulging in the rich flavors of Moroccan cuisine to exploring the desert dunes, Marrakech will leave you with experiences you will never forget.

Favorite Cowork Space

L’BLASSA

In most coworking spaces, I’ve found it’s actually not a place for making friends. Most people are very focused on work and don’t socialize too much. But L’BLASSA is different. We made many friends and Jack became known as the king of the cowork.

L’BLASSA is located in Marrakech’s French-influenced neighborhood of Gueliz, surrounded by cute cafes and wine bars, which is a great area to be in after work as well.

What’s included: high speed internet, meeting rooms, hot desks, printer, drinks available for purchase, community and events.

San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua

If you like fun in the sun, chill backpacker vibes, and surfing, San Juan del Sur is the place for you. This small surfer town is anything but boring. In fact, every weekend they have a huge Sunday Funday party and a Sunset Fest party. The hostel life in Nicaragua is really great and you can quickly make friends and be a part of this fun traveler community.

San Juan del Sur is located on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua, is known for its consistent waves and warm waters, attracting surfers of all levels, from beginners to seasoned pros. There are several different beaches in the area to choose from, each with numerous surf schools and rental shops catering to both locals and tourists.

Favorite Coliving Accommodation

Selina Maderas

We don’t normally stay in coliving spaces because we like having our own space, but in San Juan del Sur we took a chance and stayed at Selina Maderas. And let me tell you, it was dreamy.

If you’re not familiar, Selina is a global coliving and coworking brand geared towards digital nomads. In most cities I’ve seen, the Selina is like a hotel or hostel. But in San Juan del Sur, it is a compound with full amenities, cabins, and a pool.

The Selina Maderas is located not far from the surfing beaches but what makes it worth it is the amazing on-site coworking space. In this small surf town in Nicaragua, good internet is hard to come by. But at Selina, you would never know that you weren’t in the big city getting fast and reliable internet.

What’s included: cowork space with dedicated high-speed WIFI, outdoor pool, restaurant, yoga deck with mountain views, fully-equipped outdoor common kitchen, surf lessons, organized events and parties.
